Laboratory Technician – R&D Laboratory Asphalt

Based in Deer Park Victoria and reporting to the R&D Team leader - Asphalt, we are looking for an R&D Asphalt Laboratory Technician, whose primary focus will be the day to day sampling, mixing, and testing of asphalt, aggregate and bitumen products.
Key duties:
- Sampling and testing of asphalt
- Generating reports on test results and accurate record keeping
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Operation of the laboratory in accordance with NATA accreditation requirements
- Opportunity to gain experience across a range of areas within the asphalt business
- Typically a Mon to Fri work week, with weekends and nightshift as required.
- Availability for short term work on project sites away from home (if required)
Skills and Experience:
- Trainee’s or experienced technicians are encouraged to apply
- Australian Driving licence
- Experience in quality control testing of construction material products desirable
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Well-developed analytical skills
